You control microphone access and choose the files you share. Website sessions stay in OverAI’s local WebKit store, separate from Safari or Chrome.
Capture protection is designed to exclude OverAI’s own windows from supported capture paths. Results depend on macOS and the recording app.
Capture protection is not a guarantee of invisibility. Test your meeting setup before sharing. System dialogs and external browser windows are outside OverAI’s protection.

OverAI is completely free.
AI provider plans are separate.
OverAI itself is completely free. AI websites keep their own account requirements, subscriptions, and usage limits. OverAI doesn’t unlock paid models.
No AI API key is needed. Use a provider’s free website plan or your existing paid plan. Sign in to each AI website using your existing account, just as you would in a browser.
OverAI keeps website sessions in a persistent WebKit data store on your Mac. Providers can expire sessions or request verification. Safari and Chrome logins aren’t imported.
OverAI includes capture protection for its own app windows on supported capture paths. Compatibility varies with macOS and meeting or recording software. Always test your setup; it cannot guarantee invisibility or hide system dialogs.
The included AI websites need an internet connection. OverAI doesn’t bundle a local model or automatically install Ollama, Docker, or Open WebUI.
The app loads websites as you visit them and limits background activity. The AI websites still use memory, and visited pages are retained to preserve their state. Usage varies with your websites and conversations.
OverAI supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. The current free preview is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple. macOS Gatekeeper may block it; read the release notes before installing.
