A clear view of privacy.

OverAI is an independent Mac app built by Sai Praveen. It brings third-party websites into a native floating window. This page explains the app’s current design and this website.

Your conversations go to your chosen website.

OverAI doesn’t operate a prompt relay, add prompt logging, or include analytics. Content you enter into an AI website is handled by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Custom websites you add have their own policies too.

Website sessions stay on your Mac.

OverAI uses a persistent local WebKit website data store for cookies and sessions. This store is separate from Safari and Chrome. You can clear website data in the app. Providers may expire sessions or require you to sign in again.

You choose what to share.

macOS controls microphone and camera permissions. File selection and uploads let you choose content to share with a website. Permission setup doesn’t record audio or upload files. A selected upload folder can be remembered through a local read-only security bookmark.

Free, without activation.

OverAI is completely free, with no subscription, trial expiry, license key, purchase, or payment verification. The free app makes no payment verification requests. AI websites retain their own account requirements, subscriptions, and privacy policies.

Capture protection has limits.

OverAI’s capture protection is designed for its own windows and supported capture paths. It cannot guarantee exclusion from every screen recording or meeting application. System dialogs and other apps are outside its protection. Test before sharing sensitive content.

This website stays simple.

This site has no analytics scripts, ad trackers, contact forms, or embedded third-party videos. The app preview runs locally in your browser and sends no messages. Assets are served from the site itself. GitHub Pages hosts the site and may process connection information as described in GitHub’s Privacy Statement. External links take you to sites with their own policies.
